About Us
My Mother-In-Love Linda Rice is our Culinary Genius! We call her Mother Rice. She is a wife and mother of four grown children and a retired Dallas ISD school teacher of 34 years. She taught International Cuisine for 17 years after being certified by Dallas ISD. She has a Vocational Home Economics & Nutrition Bachelors of Science degree from Texas AM University in Commerce, TX and a Vocational Home Economics Associates Degree from Southwestern Christian College and completed post graduate work at Oklahoma State University in organic and inorganic chemistry.
As a student at Southwestern Christian College, she was a food service student worker who helped prepare meals for the student body. Then, her love for nutrition brought her back to Southwestern Christian College where she became the cafeteria manager for 14 years.
Prior to that, she managed the cafeteria for Head start through high school for Boley Public Schools in Boley, Oklahoma for 12 years.
For over 25 years, Linda has directed summer feeding programs for school districts in both Oklahoma and Texas.
When asked what is her favorite international cuisines, Linda says French, Italian, Mexican, and Tex-Mex.
Moving forward, The Foodary RX is a part of her specialty journey to impact lives on a more personal level.
My personal journey began in 2005 when I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. My food allergies and intolerances were unknown until 2020. Over my 16-year journey, recovery from almost anything was exaggerated compared to most other people.
In April 2019, I was rear ended twice in one week by people driving and texting. I spent 12 months going to physical therapy, chiropractic care, and medical care three days a week with only marginal improvements.
After the back- to-back accidents, I had constant inflammation, severe muscle spasms, and major belly distention. Then, one day, my chiropractor asked “What are you eating?” After completing an Alcat test, I found that I have food allergy and intolerance.
After three weeks of following the recommendations from my results, I began to respond better to the medical treatment; the size and stiffness of belly reduced; and the itching of my scalp reduced.
This made me excited and passionate about changing human lives using food. So, I partnered with my three kids and mother-in-love to start The Foodary Rx!
